You must follow the following steps if you want to view or edit a genealogy tree (.gno file) within a web browser.
 

Generations is entirely FREE and you are encouraged to download and distribute.   The complete installation program is less than 1 MB and can easily be copied to a floppy disk.

Setup to view a genealogy tree on the Internet

   1.Download Generations. You must have Generations installed on your system to view a genealogy tree in your browser.  To install Generations, simply double-click on geno.exe.
   2.Make sure your browser can host an ActiveX control.  If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 (or later), then you are set.  If you are using Netscape Navigator, you may not be able to view your genealogy tree within the browser unless you install an ActiveX plug-in.
